Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is kept in a secure, locked box situated within Site-322's media archive. Staff are invited to submit suggestions for testing, in writing, to the anomaly's research team.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a Panasonic DP-UB820 DVD player. The object has been painted with Krylon brand spray paint, colour "Jungle Green", but retains full functionality. Text has been written on SCP-XXXX's casing with black marker. The beginning of the text is smudged and illegible, but the its latter half reads "…FIER".
When SCP-XXXX is connected to a television set and plays a DVD, the contents of the displayed media will be anomalously altered to include the Muppets. The anomalous effect varies based on the input media, but primarily takes the form of 1) characters being played by muppets instead of their original actor, and 2) alterations to the plot. The anomaly only effects live action1, fictional films with a theatrical release. Other media — such as documentaries, television series, animation, and news broadcasts — are unaffected.
Disney, The Jim Henson Company, and the wider muppet community have all denied knowledge of SCP-XXXX's existence.
